Assign Body Condition Score using standard nine point scale (BCS = 1-9)
3.3 Mentation / Level of consciousness
Attentiveness / reaction to environment
(Alert and responsive /Depressed /Uncontrolled hyper-excitability /Stupor/ Coma )
3.4 Posture and gait
Observe the animal walk to exam area and look for limping, incoordination or
unsteadiness & abnormal limb placement.
3.5 Hydration status
Expressed as percentage of body weight (0-15%)
